A gleam of light. It’s the top pick from the Gangwon food tour. This brunch cafe is a must-visit. I missed out on it last year due to its closure, but this time I finally made it. If you’re planning a trip to Gangneung, make sure to add it to your itinerary. The restaurant, housed in a renovated building, exudes a cozy ambiance. The owner is exceptionally friendly, and the ingredients are top-notch. Opening from 10 am to 3:30 pm, I believe it would thrive with a branch in Apgujeong.

Their Southern-style Chicken Biscuit Tower is a standout. The chicken, with its sweet flavor, pairs perfectly with the scones both on top and bottom. The chicken alone could stand as a separate menu item; it’s that delicious. The homemade biscuits add an appealing texture that complements the chicken well.

Their Biscuit Eggs Benedict, also crafted with homemade biscuits, features fresh eggs from Jeongdongjin, Gangneung. It’s delightfully light and satisfying. The Vegetarian Open Sandwich offers a captivating flavor profile too. The blend of hummus and carrot wrap achieves a perfect balance, leaving a lingering taste sensation. Though I was too full to sample the shakshuka, it’s definitely on my list for next time.
