Today is solo cutlet day. Initially, I planned to order two for one, thinking it would make a satisfying meal. However, the boss advised against it, suggesting one would suffice. Despite my initial inclination, I trusted his judgment and ordered just one.
It’s commendable that they prioritize customer satisfaction over profit. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Truth be told, one serving isn’t particularly hefty, leaving room for more. Opting for 1.5 servings seems to strike the right balance here. Their sole menu item is the aged pork cutlet, impeccably presented.
The tenderloin, shaped into rounds, steals the spotlight as the most flavorful part, seasoned with a sprinkle of pepper. They’re generous with rice and side dishes if you need extra. The tenderloin should be savored promptly to prevent it from toughening up. Start with a pinch of salt, then dip in the sauce and add a dab of mustard for an elevated taste. Surprisingly, there’s no fishy aftertaste; simply squeeze some lemon over the pork shoulder.
If you prefer your meat less rare, be sure to mention it when ordering, as the tenderloin tends to be slightly undercooked. While the pork shoulder and sirloin may be on the tougher side, the tenderloin steals the show with its tenderness. I could’ve easily devoured three more servings. The sirloin pairs best with just salt, boasting robust flavor. The complimentary appetizer noodles are delightful, offering a tangy kick. Enjoying the soup post-cutlet is a refreshing palate cleanser.
The restaurant opens at 11:30. Arriving at 11:00 on a Saturday, I found a couple ahead of me. By 11:20, a queue of seven had formed behind me. The turnover rate is impressive, with the menu arriving within 2 minutes and my meal wrapping up in just 6 minutes. I certainly contributed to their swift service.
