Oasis’s signature dish is the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. It’s served with toasted bread topped with hollandaise sauce, poached eggs, smoked salmon, roasted tomato, and arugula. Try slicing the poached egg in half, and enjoy the moist yolk, sauce, bread, and salmon together. Each ingredient’s flavor stands out and complements each other well. Note that there’s also a version with ham on the Benedict. My personal favorite is the Grilled Banana Bacon French Toast. It’s a perfect representation of the sweet-savory combination. Caramelized bananas and bacon, along with French toast and ricotta cheese, are generously drizzled with maple syrup. The syrup soaks into the bread, making it moist, and the sweet taste spreads throughout your mouth. It’s best to enjoy it with the bacon. It’s a balance of sweetness and saltiness hitting you at once. This is what brunch is all about.
Today, when you think of brunch in Seoul, this place immediately comes to mind. Around 2009, when brunch started gaining popularity, Oasis established itself as a brunch haven in Cheongdam. I waited for about 40 minutes on a Sunday morning before going in. People kept coming in constantly. On weekends, just assume there will be a wait and go. There are many foreigners here too. If you go into the alley near Burger King and proceed about 80 meters straight after the first left turn, you’ll find it on your right. Valet parking is available as well.
