I finally made it here! Last time, I attempted to visit Maeha Restaurant right after checking out Noodle Office, but the wait was a no-go, so I had to postpone. But this time, I came back and it’s buzzing with locals. You can totally feel the vibe of a quaint Vietnamese joint right here in Sokcho.

There’s a whole backstory to this spot. It’s a family-run joint, with Grandma holding down the noodle fort, Mom who used to rock the butcher scene, and now with the granddaughter in the mix. They’re all about crafting those rice noodles with that rich Hanwoo broth. There’s an authenticity here that just keeps pulling you back for more.

You gotta go all out and order the Hanwoo Rice Noodles, the Spicy Hanwoo Jang Rice Noodles, and a serving of Fried Rice. Trust me, you gotta taste everything they’ve got. These are flavors you can only get right here. That broth, made with Hanwoo beef, packs such a punch of flavor, and you can tell there’s some serious skill behind it. The beef? Tender, juicy, and you won’t leave feeling an ounce of regret.

And let’s talk about that Bun Chaβ€”the meat is melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with sweetness. I’m definitely penciling in a return trip next time I’m in Sokcho. Next time, I’m making a beeline straight here after my visit to the immigration office.
