The home-cooked meal set is a generous spread with various side dishes covering the table. Friends like vegetables, which were hard to come by when I lived alone, are plentiful on the table. The side dishes seem to be prepared fresh every day, as the taste and quality are both excellent. As I take a bite of rice and side dishes, half of the bowl is already gone. I started with the stir-fried squid, which had a great texture, as if the squid had just been caught. It was tender and slightly spicy, making it perfect for mixing with rice. The spicy and sweet pork stir-fry was also delightful, with a good mix of meat and fat, and it wasn’t tough or gamey at all. After a mouthful of this dish, my taste buds were tingling. The hearty and spicy bean paste stew was an excellent way to finish the meal. From the side dishes to the main course, everything was perfect.
The owner is like a second mother now. In the evenings, many customers come here to enjoy various soups, snacks, and drinks. Despite not being in a bustling area or residential neighborhood, the restaurant is always packed. Just exit from Exit 4 of Ogeum Station, and you’ll see a Hi-Mart. Take a left turn at Hi-Mart, and you’ll spot the yellow sign for Chamter Restaurant in the rear building. It’s about a 10 to 15-minute drive by car. If you take a bus, you can get off at Songpa Police Station
