Intrigued, I decided to order an Americano, selecting a blend of Deva Black, Deva Orange, and Decaf. It’s refreshing to see cafes embracing diversity and offering such a wide range of options these days. While it’s true that the prices here in Cheongdam-dong’s specialty cafes are not on the cheap side โ a cup of Americano sets you back 6,000 won โ the quality more than justifies the cost. The rich and savory flavors of their meticulously selected coffee beans are precisely why I’m drawn to Americanos.
In addition to their fantastic coffee, they also offer a selection of delectable baked goods and desserts, all seemingly crafted in-house. Among their dessert offerings, the Basque cheesecake stands out as a crowd favorite. The moment you pierce it with your fork, you’re met with a delightful crunch, giving way to a moist, velvety interior that simply melts in your mouth. Pairing it with an Americano is nothing short of heavenly.
Now, let’s talk about a cafe that’s not just content with serving coffee; it aims to conquer the entire Cheongdam-dong area with its coffee revolution. Enter Devastate, the specialty coffee roastery. Its striking black exterior, accentuated with vibrant orange details, immediately caught my attention. The cafe’s elongated layout, softened by ambient lighting, creates a tranquil atmosphere that’s perfect for savoring your coffee. What’s rather unique here is the digital menu board displayed prominently behind the counter, making it exceptionally easy to peruse the offerings. If you’re in the vicinity, a mere 400-meter stroll from Apgujeong Rodeo Station Exit 3 will lead you to this coffee haven. Situated near the luxurious streets of Cheongdam-dong, you can expect to encounter a parade of high-end foreign vehicles as you explore the area.
